Happiness

A new level of happiness is knocking at my door. A box a chocolates is not just a reason but the love and affection behind it was indeed a thing to mark. Indeed the stranger old lady was too kind to me to offer a Christmas gift and I was happy enough at the receiving end. This is what I call Happiness in Shock.
Just sun missing in the daytime is what I miss from my home in this winter. The winter now is identical to the winter in Nepal now. Christmas time in Finland and no snow at all, that is what the happy moment for me. I am a warm blooded creature and its difficult for me to adjust in the severe cold.
Some year -37.5 degrees and some year +1 to -3 degrees, remembering a old saying from Nepal ' बाच्नु मात्र पर्छ के के देखिन्छ के के देखिन्छ ' ' bachnu matra parchha ke ke dekhinchha ke ke dekhinchha' literally meaning  you see many things if you live.
There are much more things to be happy than these small things, but if you are happy in tiny things then you learn to live, another old saying.

The 12 hours

A day with an extended downpour followed by a sleepless night along with a wet-snow storm. As good as a scene from Spielberg movie, was a part from a day in my life. Was enjoying the first encounter of the rain, the sleepless night and the wet-snow storm. As it is said, sweets get bitter if too much, November rain is good just in songs. Those sleepless nights are just a part of my life they occur a few times in a week. Don't know what's going on with me or my health going bad, I've  completely stopped drinking coffee but still no change into my system. I have been suggested to drink wine  but it didn't help either after some frequent intervals. Nowadays, I've shifted to yoghurt but its getting colder and colder and my throat is not resistant to cold at all. Thinking to shift to wine again...or I need to find another way out. There was flour flying around the skies and covering the ground as well. My memory power  has gone bad as I couldn't recall the last year's storm, last year's winter. Every time winters comes in Finland which faces many cursing. Now, to avoid flu and  throat pain using loads of black pepper and raw garlic. I now recall people staring at me most probably by the smell of garlic...

Determination, Decision and Depression

It is said that time flies much quickly but, for me, it is just stopping in the periphery of me. I sometimes realize time has actually passed when I notice my nails have  grown. A cup of tea takes me almost a year to finish. Try to sleep, usually break my dreams every half hour thinking it was 2 days continuous. The surroundings and the people here might add some darkness to my wait as well. Dark November days and needless to describe RACIST nature of so-called friendly animals. The more I am familiar in this  other's land, the more I feel insecure.  I am loosing my ability for almost anything, no concentration, no eagerness and no positiveness. Now its time for me to consider my decision as unplanned and amateur. Still remember the day I planned to come here but this type of uneasy feeling is a needle in my ass.
A focussed mind is to be searched in the days to come with determination.

Surprises and The interference

Followed by a nice sunny day, I witnessed the first quarter of the moon following me wherever I go this whole evening. Thinking to capture her into my heart I took my picture machine but she was shy. Now she is hiding behind a tree and peeking me from there. Could I sleep well or will she interfere ?

Three and half years but no bus ride around the small Imatra city is not a big surprise. But, it was OH MY! moment for me today. 20 minutes from Imatrankoski to Vuoksenniska containing 3 persons was a surprise no.1. I was imagining the same thing at my village, will it be possible ever? Surprise no. 2 was a drunk Finn of age around 60 stalking a woman of age around 40. I was laughing a lot inside me. The third and most shocking surprise, the bus driver lost his way. He was driving to the highway to Lappeenranta. After 5 mins of blank, he found his conscious back and apologised. Finally, I reached home and am recalling the day, the drunk Finn, the bus driver and MOON.

A Nice Evening

Planned for a long time, I was unable to provide time to my very good friends 'Tom' Dhani Raj Bogati and Nelli  Grevtseva.
This evening was the very time for the meeting and a nice dinner. A tasty and nice meal followed by sauna was a very nice experience. The food was quite delicious, in fact I am in love with mayoneese sauce. Thinking about the food, next time its my turn to cook. I am looking forward to host my friends for a nice good dinner. Thanking my friends,

Hiking from Kathmandu To Chisapani - 1 day

Hiking would do for anyone coming to Kathmandu for a short trip. Every one would suggest Sundarijal-Chisapani in the top position. The route consists adventure, fun mixture to the locals. Marijuana-lovers from Kathmandu say it paradise. The sacred Bagmati river hiding in the fertile terraced lands and suddenly roaring through the rocky Shivapuri Mountain is one of the most beautiful place to be. the place is preserved by the name of Shivapuri-Nagarjun National Park consisting a beautiful village inside. The, Mulkharka, village is a resting paint for all and have a glass of cool corn wine with ever smiling faces. Steps upwards the 2600 metres mountain is tough but one of the most interesting Journeys I ever had.

May 18th 2011.
On a warm sunny Wednesday morning, being prepared to have some fun in the woods whole day, I left home at 6.00 for my first adventure for the summer. Had a short walk from home, Mulpani-4, to Jorpati at 6.30-7.00. The walk is the most I prefer every-time I want to go to the city.

7.05
Got a bus from Jorpati to Sundarijal, the starting point for the hike, seats were packed and as usual I travelled the half way standing and waiting for a seat to be vacant. Bus fares have risen high in the recent few years. Can still remember the days I used to travel in 10 Nepalese Rupees (~10 euro cents), now 25.

7.50
Sundarijal, here I arrived!! A cup of Nepalese tea is always good to drink in the morning, as the Britishers say. So did I. Some important stuffs in the tiny town if you purchase would be good. Its okay if you want to walk up the mountain (I call it a hill) in a light fashion. Stuffs are available till you reach up the top of the Hill. I bought a litre of water, half a litre mango juice, and a litre booze ;).

8.40
The unexpected journey started slowly upwards the hill, sun was up and warm. Slowly, kept on walking up the hill enjoying some cool waterfalls. slowly but steadily I entered the Shivapuri-Nagarjun National Park. Note the ticket for the entranc is Rs 10 for Nepali and Rs 250 for foreigners. The most interesting fact, they record each and every details if you are foreigner if not who cares? The entrance gate is a nice place to rest if you want to for a while.

9.15
Now a journey towards the nearest National Park from Kathmandu city. Was walking up and down and straight into the forest underneath the oaks and sub-tropical trees (don't know the names) feeling the nature. Birds chirping, river flowing and gentle breeze blowing which I miss every time. Unfortunately the forest ends in 5 minutes and then starts the steps made of stones( by the locals) and concrete. surprisingly, there is a village inside the National Park. The village, Mulkharka, is very much popular for youngsters from Kathmandu as they can get Marijuana in a reasonable price, home made wines and spirits all you want is there.

The corn wine
For the first time in my life, I tasted corn wine during my hiking. Reached a beautiful house, was greeted by old woman. She and her husband were on a verge to prepare the corn wine. Much more fascinated by that I asked for a glass of the lovely thing. First time was the impression for the whole life. I now prefer the same thing wherever I go into the rural part of the world.

The Different World
The long path after almost 2 years was a bit hard to walk up the wriggling path through the forest. Accompanied by my best friends, I conquered the so called Mountain. Chilled beer was waiting on the lap of Shivapuri Hill facing northwards. An ordinary meal costed much more than a fine dining restaurant in Kathmandu. Although the place was nice and extraordinary for a man living in Finland for the last 3 years.

The Fun Afterwards
Drizzle and the tiredness could not stop from marching back to Kathmandu. Neither could we see a perfect sunrise in the morning nor we could see the silvery mountain range. There was no point in stayover for the nothingness except the terraced farms and fogs.

Very soon the drizzle turned into downpour, all of us were soaking in the holy waters. Being tipsy arrived Sundarijal at 8 in the evening. The path was interesting as we kept on falling, slipping at frequent intervals. Nepal's 8 pm is late well very late to get even a taxi from small stations as Sundarijal. Even in mid-summer were shivering due to 5 hours of rainfall. Waited for my friends to get bikes to take us home even at that point of time, having some cups of tea and making the shopkeeper not to close the shop till friends arrive. I am still very grateful towards the shopkeeper. Reached back home very late, but was a nice trip. One of the most interesting hikes of my life came to end with a high note. I thank my best friends for making my trip memorable. I'd love to get more adventures in the days to come.

I'm glad now

I'm glad now
to be heard from everyone
I know and my hearted one
from the corner of love

Catching from the ordinaries
yesterday, I got them extraordinary
My moon and the galaxy seemed too far
But I got them all in my palm

All those flies buzzing around
Grabbed me around the arms
penetrating through the eyes
into the core of the heart

Not in the sorrows but joys
covering me into its shade
blistering its warmth into the soil
absorbing all the beauty .

Its going to be dark

Its going to be dark
Its going to be deep
In the presence of solitude
Living the loneliness of suffering
Crying of the infants.

Drowning down the ocean
The wildfires in the oaks
Burning one in the whole piece
Tasting the inedible
Broken path to crawl

Concreteness in the life is not any more
Breaking down in the teens present
All the life suffers from the blood cell
A black blood is dipping out
spreading all over in the teary path

Generating the regret of life
Cutting down heart into parts
Pavement towards the black hole
Journey to the land of thrones and termites
Lie down having a huge sigh
